Design Is Our Passion, Quality Is Paramount.
Visual media can be a daunting idea if you don't know where, what or who to trust. Yet the question remains what is visual media?
Visual Media is often exchanged with graphic design, mass media, commercial art or public media. Since mass media is mostly a collection of mediums designed for a very large audience, and can be produced virtually by anyone who has a little aptitude with computers. Visual media however, is a completely thought out, designed and developed communication vehicle using the techniques and professional disciplines, which focus on visual communication and presentation. Typically visual media is designed with a specific target audience in mind while maintaining versatility for a larger audience to get the message. Visual media should be left to a professional graphic designer or design firm. Examples of visual media are journalism, film, Internet, podcasting, publishing, advertising, video games, multimedia and much more.
Mass media is a term used to denote a section of the media specifically envisioned and designed to reach a very large audience such as the population of a nation state. It was coined in the 1920s with the advent of nationwide radio networks, mass-circulation newspapers and magazines, although mass media (like books and manuscripts) were present centuries before the term became common. The term public media has a similar meaning: it is the sum of the public mass distributors of news and entertainment across media such as newspapers, television, radio, broadcasting. The concept of mass media is complicated in some internet media as now individuals have a means of potential exposure on a scale comparable to what was previously restricted to select group of mass media producers.
The term graphic design can refer to a number of artistic and professional disciplines which focus on visual communication and presentation. Various methods are used to create and combine symbols, images and/or words to create a visual representation of ideas and messages. A graphic designer may use typography, visual arts and page layout techniques to produce the final result. Graphic design often refers to both the process (designing) by which the communication is created and the products (designs) which are generated.
Common uses of graphic design include magazines, advertisements, product packaging and web design. For example, a product package might include a logo or other artwork, organized text and pure design elements such as shapes and color which unify the piece. Composition is one of the most important features of graphic design especially when using pre-existing materials or diverse elements.
